The FRENCH CREEK MINE has historical records showing thousands of people hand working the property from 1865 to 1932. Over 5,000 ounces were recorded as being hand mined in 1865 and 1866. In 2020 the operation was averaging 200 cu. yards per hour.
Estimated gold reserves are in excess of 100,000 ounces. Surface values are $6-$9 dollars per cubic yard and the deeper values range from $12-$28 dollars per cubic yard.
Depths to bedrock vary from 25-75 feet. Gold assay averages 89% pure and ranges from fine gold up to very large nuggets. A large 14 oz nugget was found on this property in the 1800's. Preliminary hard rock work has found rock samples assaying out as high as 56 oz. per ton.
Extensive documentation is available for this property including a 117 page geology report, lots of historical documents, seismic report, aerial magnetic survey.
